Celebrating Easter in the Jubilee Year
We are delighted to invite you to join us in worship over Easter and Holy Week at Ampleforth Abbey.
You'll find below the times at which you can join us in person at the Abbey Church or online via our live streaming channels.
An Easter message from Fr Abbot
On behalf of the monastic community, I welcome you to join us in celebrating the Sacred Triduum 2025.
You are especially welcome in this Jubilee Year during which we are all ‘Pilgrims of Hope.’ The Abbey Church has been designated by Bishop Terence Drianey as an Official Pilgrim Church. This means that entering the Abbey Church, in-person or digitally, and taking part in the liturgy carries a very special grace. It opens us to a healing presence. To the only person who can help us make sense of a world that at times seems senseless.
The theme for our Easter Retreat this year says it all. 'Christ: Transmitter of Hope.'
Though the retreat is now at capacity for in-person guests, I am delighted to confirm that we will continue to video stream our retreat talks live online, allowing you to join us no matter where you are, in exploring what difference His life makes to the way we live and the choices we make.
May our participation in the celebration of the Triduum be an opportunity to deepen our relationship with Christ as we journey together in hope towards the gift of eternal life promised us by the Risen Lord.
