Visit North Yorkshire Tourism Ambassador Day

Tourism Ambassador Day

Ampleforth Abbey hosted the first Visit North Yorkshire Tourism Ambassador Day on Thursday 26 February.

Over 70 of York and North Yorkshire's visitor-facing tourism professionals came together for a day of networking, conversation and industry updates in Alban Roe House.

The event celebrated the staff and volunteers who deliver a warm welcome to North Yorkshire each and every day, with sessions focussed on best-practice, accessibility and future trends including the role of AI in the sector.

Delegates also enjoyed lunch and a guided tour of the Abbey Church.

Catherine Hodgson, Head of Marketing, Communications and Development at Ampleforth Abbey, said: "Hospitality is one of the core values of the Benedictine community, and it is therefore a real privilege to host an event which celebrates the importance of welcome and hospitality in North Yorkshire. We are grateful to the team at Visit North Yorkshire for choosing Ampleforth Abbey as the location for this very special event."
