While the Ampleforth Valley is peaceful and remote, we are only half an hour away from the nearest motorway, with good transport links to Teesside and the rest of Yorkshire.
Many schools come for the day and explore our beautiful abbey and monastery under the guidance of our experienced school retreat leader, Fr Bede.
Students will experience a unique and fascinating day where they will learn about monastic life, get the opportunity to ask a monk questions and join the monastic community in a short service in the Abbey.
